Founded by Gianni Taroni in the sunny and motorsport loving land of Italy in 1976, Tarox brakes quickly began attracting notice for their great design and amazing performance.
BY 1980, Tarox’s reputation had grown so much that Formula 1 driver Didier Pironi was using them in his own car. In 1980, Peroni won the 1980 Belgian Grand Prix. Not only was this a proud day for Didier Peroni, it was a proud day for Tarox, which provided the anti-heat pistons that helped Peroni win.
Quickly, more and more Formula 1 teams began using Tarox brake systems, realising that they provided sharp, precise braking and durability that no other manufacturer could match. In 1982, Tarox helped Williams Driver Keke Rosberg win the 1982 World Title. From there, Tarox has only grown in popularity.
Providing a great range of different brake kits, discs and pads, Tarox delivers track-quality performance, no matter the surface or the ride.
Tarox Performance Big Brake Kits
Offering an unrivalled level of braking – whether you are driving on the track or on the road, Tarox Big Brake Kits provide durability and immediate response, no matter the environment, the weather or driving style.
Tarox Performance Big Brake Kits come with; Oversized brake discs, braided brake lines, Tarox performance brake pads, alloy brake bells and your choice or requirements of 6, 8, 10 or 12 piston billet brake callipers.
The variance of callipers in a specific kit allows Tarox to create kits that fit every driver’s needs and requirements. Piston diameter varies depending on the model and make of vehicle the Tarox Big Brake Kit is for – Tarox knows that every ride has its own unique needs and character.
Whereas most stock brake configurations have two piston brake callipers, Tarox has added more because it provides a range of benefits: More pistons means that pressure distributes more evenly across the brake pad during braking, Tarox pistons are smaller than the standard, resulting in less wear and tear and reducing loss of brake fluid. More pistons also reduce calliper stress and results in greater clamping, which translates to much-improved braking.
- Each Tarox Brake Kit is designed for use with a specific application, maximised to give the best performance for each vehicle type
- Tarox Performance Big Brake Kits come with 6, 8,10 or 12 piston billet brake callipers
- Tarox’s added pistons result in more evenly distributed pressure when braking, less wear and tear on the brakes and give greater clamping, which means much sharper, powerful braking for your vehicle
Tarox G88 Brake Discs
With its radial grooves, the Tarox G88 brake disc is one of the most popular and recognisable brake discs on the market.
The distinctive machined grooves in the surface of the brake disc help reduce heat on the discs during extreme, brake heavy driving sessions. Keeping the brake discs cool not only provides durability, but also reduces the risk of cracking or warping, which means you can trust Tarox G88 brake discs 100 percent of the time.
G88 brake discs come in a number of forms, each unique and specially designed to maximise the braking power of your vehicle, but at the same time ensuring that they are the perfect fit.
All Tarox G88 brake discs are heat-treated, finished by hand and come with the vaunted German TUV certification.
- Extremely popular and recognisable from the radial grooves machined into the disc surface
- Grooves stop the brake discs from overheating, providing durability and reducing risk of cracking and warping
- Tarox provides G88 brake discs for a wide range of vehicle types and makes
Tarox Sport Japan Brake Discs
As the name might suggest, the Sport Japan line of brake discs were originally made solely for the Japanese market, where big, oversized looks and tough, sharp performance are all the rage.
However, due to their great build and performance, the Tarox Sport Japan line soon gained popularity back in Europe and beyond.
The Sport Japan line of brake discs uses a combination of machine cut grooves and drilled countersunk holes, making them extremely effective at dispersing gases. These gases can cause severe brake fade over time, but with Sport Japan brake discs this is never an issue.
Sport Japan brake discs come heat-treated for strength and durability and come in a number of forms for various different vehicle makes and models.
- Drilled and grooved for ultimate dispersal of gases
- Originally developed for the Japanese market, Tarox Sport Japan Brake discs have great looks and amazing performance
Tarox F2000 Brake Discs
For those that like to spend some time on the road and some time on the racetrack, Tarox F2000 brake discs are the ultimate.
Featuring less machined grooves than the G88 line of brake discs, the F2000 line is all about finding the middleground between preventing heat build-up and providing amazing traction and braking strength – essential when driving aggressively on the track.
The beauty of the Tarox F2000 brake disc line is the delicate balance it pulls off – not too aggressive or powerful for the road, but able to step it up a gear or two when it comes to the track.
Available for a number of different vehicle makes and models, Tarox F2000 brake discs give peerless performance whether on the everyday road or thrashing around a challenging racetrack.
- Perfectly balance for the road and the track
- The F2000 line provides great protection from heat build-up and provides amazing traction and braking
- Available for a wide range of different vehicle makes and models, allowing anyone a premium brake setup
Tarox S2 ‘Bespoke’ Brake Discs
Because Tarox has such a storied and renowned reputation, many different people and organisations have approached them over the years to make specialist braking solutions.
With this happening on a regular basis since the late 70’s, Tarox has built up an extensive range of unique and bespoke brake discs for vehicles of all shapes and sizes.
Many different individuals and companies have asked them over the years for discs not available through the usual aftermarket channels. This is when Tarox came up the idea of assembling all of those unique designs and applications into a special catalogue. Thus the Tarox S2 ‘bespoke’ Range came into being.
The catalogue allows those interested to peruse all of the individual discs and those for classic or hard to find vehicles, finding just what they need.
