Eibach design every component to have a functional, beneficial impact on the driving experience. Eibach Lowering Springs are no different. Painstakingly researched through testing and experiments at Eibach’s own development centre, the Eibach Lowering Springs offer a raft of improvements to the driving experience, in both every day driving and shall we say, more taxing scenarios! The result is a set of lowering springs that mesh sleek looks and increased performance.
Eibach Lowering Springs: PRO KIT VS SPORTLINE
Pro Kit and Sportline
Eibach’s Lowering Springs come in two distinct flavours. Eibach Pro-Kit Springs are for the everyday, street-driven car whose driver wants and needs increased performance and appearance. The Eibach Sportline Springs are for the driver who expects more from their car in demanding conditions. The major difference is that the Sportline springs can go as low as 50mm, whilst the Pro Kit springs max out at around 40mm. Both systems come with Eibach’s standard Million-Mile Guarantee.
Lowering
With the Eibach Lowering Springs System in place, you can expect a lowering of between 1 and 1 ½ inches, without safety concerns or other issues, whilst providing the low-down, streamlined profile you are looking for.
Each lowering spring system is custom designed for specific models and manufacture years, giving you a bespoke system that will work in harmony with your car.
Eibach Lowering Springs are designed for optimal use with other Eibach components, such as Eibach Pro Dampers and the Eibach Anti-roll kit, the lowering springs are perfectly compatible with any stock shock absorbers, so as the correct kit is used.
Increased Performance
As well as providing a lower profile and great looks, there are also benefits to the lowering of a car’s profile.
For example, using Eibach Lowering Springs drops the centre of gravity of the car, which can have many positive effects. This lowering of the centre of gravity means a big reduction in acceleration squat. This is when the back end of the car is pushed down during acceleration. If the back end is pushed down, the front end is forced up, meaning the car is resisting oncoming airflow more than it should and acceleration and aerodynamics suffer. By reducing this, the car can experience better acceleration, aerodynamic profile, and even improved fuel economy.
Installation
Each Eibach Lowering Springs kit comes with 4 springs and should take 3-5 hours to install. A spring compressor, amongst other tools, will be necessary. If unsure, always consult a mechanic or vehicle maintenance specialist. Once installation of the lowering springs is complete, it will be necessary to align all wheels on the vehicle.
